Lapland Snow Design- hanke on pyörähtänyt käyntiin täydellä teholla ja hankkeen suunnitelmien pohjalta rakennettava pilottikohde on taas muutamaa askelta lähempänä toteutusta. Pilottikohteen visuaalinen ilme on yhä muutoksessa, sillä keskusta-alue tuottaa monenlaisia haasteita toteutukseen.

Pääpiirteittäin kohteen funktio sekä tarvittavat ominaisuudet ovat jo selvillä. Lisäksi rakentamispaikka asettaa omat haasteet suunnittelulle sekä toteutukselle. Näin ollen oheiset konseptikuvat ovat vielä muutoksessa. Tällä viikolla jatkamme käytännön rakennusvaiheen organisointia sekä yhteistyötä sidosryhmien kanssa.

Kohteessa on avautumassa mahdollisuus toteuttaa jo suunniteltujen ohjelmien lisäksi myös opiskelijoiden muita esityksiä, näyttelyitä, workshoppeja, performansseja ym. ohjelmaa. Laitamme lisätietoja ohjelmapaikkojen varauksesta TTK:n maililistalle lähiviikkoina. Meihin voi ottaa yhteyttä mikäli mielessäsi on arktiseen muotoiluun tai lumiympäristöön sopivia töitä tai esityksiä, tai mikäli olet kiinnostunut esimerkiksi arktisen pop-up kaakaokioskin perustamisesta!

Hello,
The Lapland Snow Design -project has started the year at full speed and the pilot venue is a big step closer to the realization. The visual image of the pilot venue is still in progress due to the construction site which is in the city center and therefore a challenging place to build.
The functions and the needed qualifications of the final venue are already decided and designed, now we concentrate on deciding the final positions of the molds and walls. Also the construction site needs lots of planning. That´s why the concept photos 1, 2 and 3 are still evolving. This week we will continue doing the practical plans for the construction site and collaboration with the partners.
On the venue there is opening a chance to display students´ own shows, performances, exhibitions, workshops etc. We will send an e-mail to Art faculty´s general mailing list about reserving the time for your own events or shows. Feel free to contact us if you have already on your mind something related to arctic design or fitting to snow environment, or if you are interested in, for example, founding an Arctic pop-up hot-chockolate kiosk!
