Lapland Snow Design -hankkeen suunnitelmien pohjalta toteutettava pilottikohteen toteutus on konkretisoitumassa hyvää vauhtia. Kupoleiden ja muurien asemointeja vielä viilataan ja kohteeseen tulevaa ohjelmakarttaa koostetaan.
Tavoitteena on selvitellä mahdollisuutta streamata kohteen ohjelmaa esimerkiksi Lappia-talolle, jossa on Rovaniemi Design weekin muotoilukeskus. Näin saataisiin mukava linkki Design viikon "ytimeen".
Kohteessa on mukana useita eri Lapin yliopiston kursseja ja näin se todella on koko tiedekunnan yhteinen projekti. Opiskelijat tekevät kohteeseen veistoksia, mediataidetta, installaatioita, valaistusuunnittelua, näyttelysuunnittelua, pintatyöstökokeiluja jne.

Hello,
The pilot venue which is executed by the design of Lapland Snow Design project is about to be realized. We still work on the final positions of the domes and the snow walls and also assemble the venue program schedule
Also the goal is find out about the possibility to stream the program of the venue to, for example, Lappia House which is the Design and event center of Rovaniemi Design week. That way we would also get great connection to the core of the Design week.
At the venue there are involved many courses of the University of Lapland and that´s how it really is a project of the whole faculty of Arts and Design. The students are making sculptures, media art, installations, lightning design, exhibition design, surface structure testings etc. at the venue.
There will be a great snow experience coming!
